About this project

Buyers increasingly want proof of where produce comes from, and paper certificates are easy to lose or forge. Small producers need a way to prove quality without complex technology.

Provenant records each custody step on a public blockchain through a simple mobile app. Producers never handle cryptography directly, and buyers can verify a batch by scanning a code.

Objectives

  • Create a shared record that no single party controls
  • Make verification simple for non-technical buyers
  • Keep commercially sensitive data off-chain

What’s delivered

  • Batch registry contracts on an Ethereum layer 2
  • Off-chain document storage with on-chain hashes
  • Mobile capture for growers and shippers
  • QR-based public verification page
